Camping was SO MUCH FUN, despite the rain storm we got late Saturday night. Kind of a bummer that D, Squirrel and the Roomie couldn’t make it, but when your car flips into a ditch, camping kind of gets written off. They’re all okay – sore, and Squirrel neede some stitches – but they’re all okay, and home in one piece.

We had fun, just the four of us, though. Did a hike Saturday morning and took lots of pics. I’ll have to post some when I can get my ‘puter up and going long enough to download and then upload ‘em.

Mom’s friend Shirley (also called Squirrely by the girls) passed away on Saturday, right before they were going to visit her. I’ll be going to a funeral this week. :-/ She’d been ill for a while – her kindey’s shut down for some reason a while back and she’d been loosing a LOT of weight. Not that old, maybe late 30′s or very early 40′s, with a family. I worked for her one summer when I was still in University, and she was really nice. She’ll be missed.

Just booked an appointment for the Roomie at my chiropractor this afternoon, so she’ll get xrayed and maybe Dr. Dave can do something to help her out. She’s moving very slowly and very stiffly right now.

Trying to get through to the insurance company to put a claim in. I rode to camp with M, her hubby and S in M truck. S and my cars were parked out front of M’s, and after we got back yesterday, found out that our driver’s side mirrors were pushed back (they’re the ‘breakaway’ mirrors that fold back. The only thing is, my mirror was SMASHED. It’s just shattered. The motor still works so I can adjust it, but I can’t see out of it. I’m not too impressed. I’ll probably file a claim for my bumper too.

If I EVER GET THROUGH. Stupid busy signal.

I didn’t get sunburnt this weekend, yay me! :) I made sure I had sunscreen and covered up while we sat on the Beach Saturday afternoon. My feet and lower legs are COVERED in mosquito bites, though. BOO. They so itchy. Ack. SO ITCHY.

Okay. Work now. Feh.

Despite the bad things that happened this weekend, I had an AWESOME weekend. Even got over half of “American Gods” read. Yay
