Not like I don’t already have enough to do,
I just finished faxing around 50 order confirmations (with our shutdown notice) to customers. That took about 30-45 minutes. I just emailed 5 customers the same.
It’s the end of the month, so of course, to make the month’s sales look good, they (production & the GM) decide to invoice a whole metric ASSLOAD of orders, which means I have to add them back on so they appear on various schedules, and such. I think I have at least 100,000$ worth of stuff I have to add back on. Which will keep me from printing up packing slips for orders that are getting shipped out today.
My shipping clerk (who’s awesome and great, btw), is leaving at noon to go and spend some time with visiting family/friends. She’ll be back tomorrow about noon, but if I don’t get the paperwork out to her before she leaves, that means I do all the shipping documents. Which is not so bad, since I used to do up the shipping docs, but I also have to call various carriers for pick ups. Also, not quite as bad, but a couple of months ago, I forgot to call someone and was here until about 5:30 waiting for them to squeeze us in.
Our sales coordinator (my old boss) is leaving early today because he and his family are flying east to visit his wife’s best friend and her family in Halifax, because they moved out there a month or so ago. He’ll be back around the middle of next week, but that doesn’t really matter since we’re shut down next week. Thing is: I have no sales coordinator this afternoon or tomorrow.
I’ve heard rumour that the engineering manager won’t be in tomorrow, either. GM and her lackey probably won’t be. I’m not going to hold my breath that my boss will be, either.
Busy busy busy. Gah. I hate being redonkulously busy.
Okay, I got stuff to do and no time to do it. To the Batmobile! I’m so going to the LC tomorrow and getting me some coolers. Mmm, vodka.
